Eva Bialecki is a fine artist, musician and animator who received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2014). Bialecki’s work draws influence from her Eastern European heritage, her life as a twin and its fragmentation and dependence on identity, dreams, and old cartoons. She actively exhibits her oil paintings and mixed media installations all over the country and has won awards and recognition for her pieces. As a performer, Bialecki has toured the country writing and playing music with her metal/noise rock band Jar’d Loose and most recently founded a performance and music project called NOHMADS.
Currently, Bialecki is finalizing the NOHMADS debut record with Chris Harden at IV Labs, freelancing, as well as working on several animation projects, including a hybrid live video and animated short film called Neon Moon to be completed January 2018. Her online art print and decor shop, Black Sheep Temple Arts, will launch November 2017. She resides in Chicago with her husband, pets, plants, and an assortment of other animated creatures.
